London Hosts an Iraqi Fine Art Exhibition

Follow-up – Al-Sabah Al-Jadeed:The British capital, London, hosted a significant Iraqi visual art exhibition, organized by the Iraqi government through the Arab Academy of Heritage and Arts, held at the Indian Cultural Center in West Kensington, as part of the Iraqi Cultural Days organized by the Iraqi Cultural Center with the support of Prime Minister Eng. Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani.The cultural days had earlier begun with a musical concert and welcoming speeches, and concluded with a poetry evening at the Iraqi Cultural Center.The exhibition, organized by the Association of Iraqi Artists in Britain, carried the title "The Pulse of a Homeland in Color", and was held at the Indian Cultural Center (Millennium Gallery Hall). It represented a key segment of the Iraqi Cultural Days, the first event of its kind in London after more than two decades of absence.The artists who participated, listed alphabetically according to the Latin alphabet in the official exhibition catalog, included:Ala Bashir, Alaa Jumaa, Alaa Al-Sareeh, Ali Al-Mousawi, Batool Al-Fakiki, Basim Mahdi, Faisal Laibi Sahi, Hussein Al-Sakkafi, Hassan Al-Jarrah, Ibtihaal Al-Ballori, Jalal Alwan, Lina Al-Ajeeli, Mahdi Al-Shammari, Marwan Jalal, Mohammed Al-Daami, Mahmoud Fahmi, Raad Hubi, Raad Mohammed, Sadiq Tuma, Salim Al-Khouri, Sabah Mohammed, and Thamer Al-Khafaji.
