South Gas Sets End of This Year as Deadline to Complete Accelerated Project

Baghdad – Al-Sabah Al-JadeedSouth Gas Company announced the end of this year as the deadline to complete the accelerated gas project in the Artawi field, noting that the project will keep pace with the increased oil production in the field.The technical assistant of South Gas Company and the Total project manager, Majid Mohammed Al-Shawaf, said: "The accelerated gas project in the Artawi field is the fifth project added to the four projects under the Total Company’s mandate, called the Integrated Gas Development Project, which includes four projects: the Artawi field development project, an investment project of 600 million standard cubic feet in two phases – the first phase with 300 million and the second phase also 300 million, the third project is the seawater project, and the fourth is the generation of 1,000 megawatts of solar power."Al-Shawaf added, "The accelerated project involves investing 50 million cubic feet from the Artawi field and could be completed by the end of this year."
